    Default Guinea Feathers

While unpacking a fly tying collection I bought recently. I found a bunch of strung guinea. Never used guinea for anything before. Anyway tied a couple up and I kinda like the different look.

While playing with these I also noticed my " electric chicken " stock was kinda depleted. It still is as I changed boat in middle of stream and tied a
" funky chicken ". Some of you might call it the hideous chicken.

Will post pix of these aberrations tommorrow. God I need open water.

Another thing you can do with Guinea feathers is something I came up with called a Wing jig. You have to cut it much like I do my little "V"'s (but it is different for sure as you need extended stem to tie) and I tie it on top of the hook. I also take some flexible glue and put a little along the stem portion to help hold the wings apart a little. You can see them on my site on the main Jig Page I think. Oh and they do catch fish.
