    Default baby crayfish

Well this is what I came up with Atticafish. The color is not perfect but its close. Annentae are too thick but overall size is about as big as my little fingernail.

This is just my prototype will continue to refine. Unless interupted by cranky wife

I agree if worked fast. Slow worked like a crayfish walking on bottom hunting for food. His claws would be in front. I tie them both ways. If I want to simulate fleeing crayfish would tie them as you suggest.

Thanks for keeping an eye on me though guys. Just in case I would go off deep end

Color does look good, also like how you did the claws. I also tie my craws with the claws at the back, but have always wondered about doing the other way - I have caught many smallies that will bring up a craw from their stomach..... and they always come out claws first. If they actually hit the craw tail first, maybe get a better hook set with your config.

Biggest reason I tie them the way I do is because I've always ended up with spinning craws if I put the claws up front.

I was just wondering what size and type hook you are using there and what is the overall length of the craw.... looks good but just trying to figure the length in my head here.... would definitely possible be an awesome smallie bait

There you go Doc. This one I tied today and I hope it does NOT catch fish. It were a pain to tie. But if it does I will learn to live with it I guess.

Interesting is that just a standard 2x size #8 fly hook you are using?

I know its a # 8 hook but not sure if 2x or 4x, I never keep my hooks in the original boxes, I always put them in plastic boxes sometimes I idenify them sometimes I don't.

Plus I am always buying collection of fly tying material and tools. I sort them roughly to size and move on. Gonna have to quit buying pretty soon or build a warehouse. I swear once you get a reputation of buying certain stuff people have a way of finding you.
