Not sure how to explaine it but tie on the yellow and black go half way around with one color and twist the two and than go back to the other side and twist again do this for the whole body and you end up withe black on half and yellow on the other side.

Sounds like a Bitch Creek nymph weave might want to google it and see if that is the same idea as what he is trying to describe.
