    Default Smallmouth Fly

The Mixed Media, Adventures in Fly Tying - Instructional Video From Fly Fish Ohio

This pattern is extremely easy to tie. I tried a couple myself. I don't even fish for "bronze carp " but I wanted to try the pattern Did I mention I am bored ?

Thought atticafish might appreciate the new smallmouth pattern. The original tyer calls it a crayfish. And names it the mixed media for the different types of materials. I don't know if it looks like a crayfish but it looks like something fish would inhale. I didn't have any fox hair so I used coyote tail instead.

    See what you all think

:D Heck Yeah! Never seen a deep clouser done that way. Will have to make me some of those, I can see the potential for some green carp also, dragging that across the bottom. I do have some skirts that rotted away and now they have a purpose.

Hey, thanks for the link also! I had that one bookmarked awhile ago and lost all my bookmarks when my laptop crashed..... Again!

Here is one of couple I tied , used black and red flake rubber ,coyote tail and silver flash and the popper hook # 4. Love those popper hooks for any kind of clouser as it puts the eyes right where you need them
