Oh these are not for me as I would have made different colors for me. I love stuff like blue and white or chart and blue and so on and so on.
Here is another kind I tie that I call Double Bunny. I just didn't like the picture, but same guy is getting this one. I plan on tying a few of these kind for me in different colors, maybe silver/gray belly and olive top or olive and black top. Then some FL Yellows with that same belly and FL Chart as well. I like the red thread neck on lots of them though as that is what the fish like.

When you tie this jig on the belly will be where it is supposed to be. I have one on my web site that I tied backwards, LOL!

I've never done the cross cut, but love the action of the regular zonker strips. Seeing Skip's pics got me to buy some to try. :) And man do they SWIM in the water!
I do have a trick for tying a strip in to use as a tail... If you cut the end you are tying to the hook shank into a point (like an upside down "V") it seems not to twist around the hook shank nearly as bad when you snug it down. Alot easier than straight cut or on one angle. I also cut the tail end the same way, but I'm picky. Extra steps though, not for comerical tying. ;)
Nice jigs Skip, but not my color choice!!!! I'm working up some double bunny flies and jigs for spring right now.
skip that yellowish orange one where did you get that hair.
nice work as allways skip i make a 1/64 gill jig from black rabbit but i take the hair off the skin and just make a lil puffie tail on it just kills them and a bass guy i know i make him some 1/8 and 1/4 jigs for smallies they work well i love the look in the water for sure
You can really cinch it down tight when using a flatwaxed nylon thread. Nice job Skip.
Excellent looking ties. I now have a deeper interest in learning to tie with rabbit fur.
