    Default White Jigs

I started implementing a lot of white in my tying the past year and noticed that of all my other colors, it's the most productive. I googled a few sites and on every single one there was a paragraph talking about white being the best universal color for crappie year round due to the overall good visibility/color contrast from season to season. Just curious to see what you all thought. Favorable or nonfavorable

Favorable. Not my favorite color but when things quit working it pays to give white a try, has saved the day for me more than a few times.

    Default white

White is the most common color to use on jigs for crappie fishing.personally I use white quite often but it is not my favorite color gray in chartreuse is when it comes to fishing for crappie for myself I personally think that crappie or more after action then color. I know this is a big thing with a lot of the guys and most people if they are catching fish on a certain color everybody else's act to follow. To prove my point we have finished side-by-side with other fishermen when we were fishing for crappie I was using a black and red jig they were using green and white they were using tube jigs they were not catching anything at all. I was using a hair jig in the black and red and I was catching plenty of fish it proves my point about color in action of materials.

I would have to agree with you on the action thing. I tie marabous and it's really amazing, seen a dramatic difference in the quickness of getting strikes. I usually have silver mixed in with white, but do well with all white too. Good info fellas, thanks for the replys.

White is in my top three favorites although I rarely make just a plain white jig.Usually I have it in a combination with another color.

White and pink or white and chartreuse are winning combination colors.

I like white too. I think the fish can just plain see it better. Probably 50% of the jigs that I tie are white or with white in them.

White is my second favorite color, right behind chartreuse. The clearer the water, the more I like white.

I think everyone has a few white ones in their box. If you think back to the old Doll Fly's they had white ones' and they sold alot of them.
