I have a Dremel tool that I use to clean up jig heads using buff wheels and I think that if I wanted to I could clean a mess off of and use again, but I don't really think that for teh cost of one jig head that it would be worth the time spent.

The fish will hit an ugly jig,I've proven that more than once.Tie it up!!!!!! Don't throw it away.
If I'm brush painting with paint I have an old piece of shammy and just wipe it off and start again.
