I have a Dremel tool that I use to clean up jig heads using buff wheels and I think that if I wanted to I could clean a mess off of and use again, but I don't really think that for teh cost of one jig head that it would be worth the time spent.

Yup! I use a product called Citrus Strip, no noxious fumes, non flammable, and safe to use indoors. You can find it in the paint department at Wal-Mart.

If I'm brush painting with paint I have an old piece of shammy and just wipe it off and start again.

The powder you can usually fix by reheating the jig and redipping
