Here's a little trick I use to anchor fur. Before I lay my base I put a little nail polish on the shank of the hook. I then lay my base using a course spiral going both ways. I then put another little touch of nail polish. I then set fur in place and wrap tightly. I then top the wrappings again with a little nail polish. It sound like a lot but it's not and doesn't take but a second. Leave as is or add any adornment you like. When its sets up nothing will move or slip.

Great idea, will be on my agenda for now on,Thanks.
If we didn't continue to raise the bar for each other, we'd still be buying our stuff in the store- pre made. Or worse yet, still using plastic. Naw, Like I said, it's just what ran thru my mind. Lots o room there. You do good work, and I know the time will come that you will give me a project that will make me pull out what's left of my hair. Then I'll tie a jig with it, no doubt. All in fun.
skeetbum,
way to go!
Looks like legs on that jig !
That will get their curiosity and you want 'em looking.

tying up a storm. I sat down at 530 this evening, and tied a few jigs i thought, looked over and it was 830 with 63 jigs tied. its been like a mth since ive touched a piece of thread. The time just slipped away. I just got rid of about 1500 jigs. And now back to tying more lol. Guess i will go to these paylakes that are stocking trout and push out a few more jigs... I guess to make room for more....
Now that is tying up a storm, lol.
