Default 4 Have to Have Bucktail Colors

My brother in law from Pennsylvania shipped me 4 killed this year bucktails. And a half dozen grey squirrel tails.I want to dye the tails,I know that one will be chartuse, the others I'm not sure of yet.If you could only have 4 different color bucktails what would they be for crappie jigs? And what is the best dye to use?Never dyed one before.

    White - No dye needed
    Gray
Olive or drab green & orange- But these would be more for smallie jigs. :D
Those are my most used colors anyway.

With buck tail crappie jigs, I use almost only white and gray. A blue color might be nice......

you can try koolaide boiling water at 190 Deg.w/a table spoon,or a lil better of white vinegar to create color fasting...

Then there's Cushings perfection dyes. They work well w/ the exception of Blk.and some reds. There a bit more costly too.

Mega project Tye dye kits by Rainbow rock Inc.These can be purchased at any wall mart at reasonable pricing...
Lots a stuff out there bud"take ya pick.

can anyone help me find a 200ct.of 1/100oz.round unpainted" heads w/ no collars ,#10 or #12 hooks of any kind???pm. me please. Thanks

For crappie I'd say white, chartreuse, pink and lt.gray for those shad baits.I use Cushing's perfection dyes but some guys here on cc have had great success with koolaid. Cushing's is faster,I've dyed four different colors with same pot in an hour, each packet will dye a lb. dry weight of materials.I buy mine on ebay for $2.95 per packet, about 50 or more colors to choose from.
