Jig Mold

I was wondering if any of you guys ever thought about making a mold to accept the type of stand-out hook to pour jig heads on for use in drop shotting?

the first jig i ever saw like that was done so because they used a size#16 hook and no jig hooks were avail. I see a point in allowing more free space for the hook gap and penetration. To me it would make them harder to paint and clean the eye
