    Default First Real Crappie Jig

What do you think? These are the colors that everybody has been catching with.Looks good swimming in the bath tub, lol.I got the chenille to lay down and stay on right.Used a mhj with a #1 sickle hook.1/16 oz.Let me know where I failed.I want to get better.I won't get to use them until next weekend, but,I think they will do well.

Looks good,Dirty Tomater with craft fur ? I would shorten the tail up some.Try them out on some slabs and see what they think.Nothing but hardwater here.

AZ, looks like you got it together. Tail a bit long, as you already know. If you use maribou move the feathers up towards the head more and don't trim em. The tiny ends have more action. Recently learned this myself. If you look at most of the pro's jigs they only take about 3 turns of chenille on their jigs. This isn't written in stone but my jigs have better proportion since I began doing this. I try to stay on the collar of the head and it works nice. As I said before, you do nice work. Keep at it, tight lines.

Other than the tail as others have said, I believe that dog will hunt! Good job.
