Nice pictures JiggnJoe,nice colorfull jigs too.
Man, LedHed,I love them greys in the middle.I can't stop looking at them, lol.Good thing I'm not a bluegill.
kiptail is a calf tail....its a softer hair then bucktail....just out FF and he has any color kiptail you want
Kiptail is also called calftail...make a pretty good jig, just takes a bit of practice to get them looking good unless someone gives you all the tricks.
Looks like bug patterns, blacks, browns, olives, and the tiny kiptail jigs will work good.
So do most of you guys fish a slow steady retrieve under a float or something? That's what I do for crappie most of the time. I'm mainly looking for 3-6 inchers for catfish bait...
Also I probably wouldn't want more than a #8 sickle right? Have a few hundred 1/64th and 1/80th on #8 sickles I think they'll be just right.
I use a dark colors like olives, black, and browns. My jigs are usually a 1/80 or 1/100. Fishi it about 15 inches deep on a bobber. Unless their on their beds then its no bobber on 3 lb test.. Which i found though the guy that makes trout and crappie magnets
