Nice jigs as usual. You must do a lot of bass fishing.I've been working on some similar crappie jigs. I need to check out the Coats metallic thread. I used some of their glow thread and even after all the nail polish the glow still comes through.

The holidays brought new materials to me, so I took advantage and tied a few.
Mostly bass jigs (craft fur) with a couple of crappie ties in the mix. Found that Coats makes a 60/40 Nylon to Polyester metallic thread that I really like. It appears to have a relatively thin diameter with some strength to it.
This group of ties gave me some more ideas about the "when and where" to use a particular thread weight. There will be times that I want to use a heavier round thread beneath holo thread for crappie jig ties. Also, thought about combining craft fur before tying it into future jigs.
A "baby bass" hair jig is in the works.
The bass jigs weigh 5/32-oz. with #2 hooks. Crappie ties used 1/16-oz. heads with #4s.

Jim,
Actually, I seem to do more tying than bass fishing nowadays. It's fun for me to tie for others and later hear or read about their results.
One of the best ways for me to improve upon my tying, is to tie for some very good fishermen.
Thank you both for your compliments.

pup, I agree with ya about the tying for good fishermen, and then hearing positive feedback, makes it all worthwhile for me.
Very nice.I can see the smallmouths just tearing them things apart.Good looking jigs.
"Garden Hackler"lol
I can see the smallies and eys tearing those up. Tying with craft fur can be tough. Are you using the Wally World brand or Punisher??? The biggest difference between the two that I found was the wallys brand tnded to be a bit slick when trying to tie it in.

Love the look of the craft hair, great job!
