    Default FAV Color

new to tying here and really enjoy so far. I dont just do it for fun though, i tie to catch fish. With that said, tell me what your favorite clear water color is and what is your favorite stained water color? Share pics if you can. Also, i live in Western North Carolina and fish primarily on Lake Chatuge.

Favorite clear water color is silver or nickle plated head, white ice chenille, light gray marabou tail with a touch of pearl midge flash in the neck area and tail. Nickle Plated heads in clear water with a lot of colors are killer. They give off flash and won't rust.

Most of the water around my spot I fish is murky so I use blue/white and red/white on a 1/16th oz. leadhead and does fairly well. Just have to work it real slow.

Really a tactic i've noticed is.. just reel it in very slowly maybe only twitching it a time or two and that does better than jigging in most situations.

Course I fish shallower areas so that may be making a difference.
