Powder Paint Rack (cheap)

Here's a (on the cheap) holding rack I came up with for curing the powder paint on jigs. It also avoids the conehead. Maybe this will give you some ideas.

I like your holding rack. It allows gravity to take over.

In the future, I plan to powder coat my jig heads. For now, I'm happy with the various brush-on paints and epoxy. It's the influence that hard bait makers have had on me, I think. I look up to some pretty good ones.

There's a design, somewhere, where a similar rack has a holding strip for the jig heads attached with wing nuts and bolts. It's a nice concept.

I've done a lot of coating with polyurethane and have baked it to toughen, glisten, and smooth its finish. I used a sheet of aluminum foil formed into an inverted T-stand and secured the heads with paper clips. It's quick and works fine for jig heads weighing 1/16 of an ounce or less.

They make some that hold your jigs upright like you are trying to do with yours, but the bought ones are a bit high and only hold a small number if jig heads like maybe 6 or 7. However it pinches on the hook and holds them very well.

Great idea - maybe cut a notch where the jig eye rests (keep the jig from rocking)...

To further Ledhed's idea, drill a series of small holes and then bend it down the center of the holes to obtain the notches. Good idea all.
