I like your holding rack. It allows gravity to take over.
In the future, I plan to powder coat my jig heads. For now, I'm happy with the various brush-on paints and epoxy. It's the influence that hard bait makers have had on me, I think. I look up to some pretty good ones.
There's a design, somewhere, where a similar rack has a holding strip for the jig heads attached with wing nuts and bolts. It's a nice concept.
I've done a lot of coating with polyurethane and have baked it to toughen, glisten, and smooth its finish. I used a sheet of aluminum foil formed into an inverted T-stand and secured the heads with paper clips. It's quick and works fine for jig heads weighing 1/16 of an ounce or less.
