I read on here I think a while back where someone was using a cheap hair straightening device to straighten the hair on kiptails. I bought an 18 dollar one with 2" wide plates and tried it. It did ok I guess, pulling the whole tail, bone and all thru the hot platens, but when I took the tail after it was good and hot, and pulled it thru one hand while gripping it pretty hard, it really straightened that hair out pretty good, and on a decent tail, I could get the hair perfectly straight. wetting the tail a little had negetive results, best to leave it dry. even could straighten the crooked tails while warm. who ever it was that mentioned this, thanks.
