    Default deep water color

Just wondering what colors you guys like to use during the winter fishing deep water. I've done well w a blue/gray combo at times. I've aleays heard that blue shows up best in deep water. What say you?

I believe for deep water I would use something like my Black Widow or green Hornet, something with lots of black mixed with chartreuse. Picture below of my Black Widow.

The color I was told is seen best is Turquoise, but have not ever fished it as deep as they get here in winter.

I used a silver bobby garland last year and did the best I've ever done with crappie on it. So I tied a similar marabou jig with some rainbow flashabou tinsel inter-twined in the silver chenille body, and white feathers. Looks good. I can't wait to use it.
