    Default Proto works

Went out for 3 hours this morning to check out one of the prototype jigs been messing around with. It worked, but not for what it was designed for. Supposed to be a deep water jig and it was catching the fish in 9 to 10 foot of water. Kept about 20 fish between 8” and 10” – lost both jigs to structure. About half the catch was made using the new style jig. A very bad day for jigs – lost 5 – and 2 were for JJJ.

Nice gills. Since they work and you lost 5,that gives you an excuse to make more,a lot more.

Led: feel lucky at least you don't have to fish those silly cypress trees with ball roots. Those suckers eat jigs like a kid eats candy. Good catch keep tying and then catching.

If you don't lose a lot of jigs...its because of two things.
    1. Your not fishing hard enough
    2. Your not fishing where the fish are.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Apologies - the two belly spinners were supposed to go to you. No worries, going to do some more tonight. Hope to get something out by Saturday.

For structure we have “tire reefs” and rock piles. Right now – lake is really low, fighting over whose going to fix the damn.

    Thnx

This was the chub style – haven’t really put the effort into the “phlatapus” yet (think that will be the true deep water jig).

True 1. and 2. – but 5!!! Probably could have got some back but didn’t want to pull anchor to go over the fish.

You know that feeling – more than welcome
