    Default powder paint question

Some of the newer powder paints are coming out too dark, especially blue. What do y'all recommend to do? Do you thin with white, clear,or other colors?Purple is also too dark- any advise is appreciated!

Thin with white - a little at a time.

If you put a UV or glow over coat it will lighten them and if you make sure you're not getting the heads too hot it will make a difference I have noticed. If you get the lead too hot some of the colors seem to darken from burning.

If you're noticing any amount of smoke when you're dipping them then you're going in too hot. I tend to like being too cool than too hot I can hit it with the heat to smooth it out rather than burning it and you're stuck with it.

I wonder if the pictures of this new PP have been misleading instead of it being an application problem?? Try to find some really good pictures of the finished product done on lead and not on white. A lot of companies will do it on chrome or white for their pictures and it could be a lot darker on lead jig heads.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.
