    Default Proto part 2

Tied these up today using the belly spinner concept. These jigs are Do-it chubs (same thing I did for swap #9 except these are tied with marabou instead of the calf tail). The jig is a 1//16th with the barb - without the barb it's got to be close to a 1/24th. The hooks are Matzuo bronze and red #6. Blades are a 00 - think the swivel is a 14 or 12 (they are small). Used holographic glitter in the paint.

The real test is tomorrow on the lake......

Very nice, really like the one's with the eyes especially.Don't have a chubs mold but like the minnow profile it has. Those are some real "BLACK BEAUTIES". These should pass the lake test with "flashing", I mean flying colors.

    Default Similiar

    Nice job Ledhead!
I've been tying something similiar on 1/16 oz ball jigs with the swivel. blade
but is a little further forward toward the jig head. I like the profile of the chub better than the ball jig! I've used squirrel tail, maribou, bucktail and even fishair. Anybody that can put 00 blades on #12 swivel deserves to catch some fish:D

I really like the idea of incorporating the swivels and blades. Excellent.

Wow! Awesome looking when finished. The eyes add a lot of appeal, hopefully for the fish too. With those jigs, you just might find the crappie at LP.

    Thnx again CDC

CK3 – am cheating - using jump rings instead of the split rings, used them today with no problem. Got the idea from Cadman and JSC (works for me).

“find the crappie” too funny LOL. We fished the NW today (~40') – got a few but it got mucho hot – quick.
