Here are a couple of jigs that might work for crappie, in patterns that I fish Float-N-Fly style for smallmouth bass. I tied these this evening.



Used 1/16-ounce ball heads with #4 bronze hooks.

Key materials include:
  • Kelly green, orange, and white craft fur.
  • Saltwater blue streamer hair.
  • Gudebrod Gude-Wind Nylon (pea green - 00) and UTC Ultra Thread (white - 140 denier).
  • Mylar tinsel strips in green/blue and silver holographic.
  • Jig heads are epoxy-coated over acrylic eyes and nail polish with a white acrylic base coat.
