    Default Jig Head Eyes

I'm wanting to put some eyes on my heads that aren't paint on. I like the small wooly eyes, but the ones you buy already on a jighead in the stores pop off after the first fish hits it. Apparently the glue they use if any isn't good enough. Any advise on how to make them stay? Gorilla glue perhaps?
Or is it better to just use paint?
    Thanks,
    Clark

I paint eyes on my jig heads...I dip a small finishing nail head in the paint and then touch it to the jig head. It works great. If you want a two toned eyeball...use a large finish nail with white paint...when it drys use a small finish nail with black paint and dot the center of the white. or any color combination that you want.

I use a round toothpick. For a real small eye or the pupil in the eye, use it uncut or just up a little. For a bigger eye cut the toothpick up a little more. Works for me.

I put a dab of flexament on the back of the eye. Works good as it gives ya a few seconds to center the eye just right. Then paint over with "hard as nails" nail polish and let dry overnight.

I have caught over 100 crappie on a jig and the eyes were just fine. Feathers & hair wuz a little worse for wear though!

Yeah I'll have to give that a try. I used some good ole gorilla glue and it seems like I couldn't get em off with a stick of dynamite. Hopefully they'll work out.

    Thanks,
    Clark
