    Default Plated lead heads

Who was it that got some of these done? Also if you don't mind how much cost was involved?

    Thanks,

    Skip,
I found a guy here in Atlanta that chrome plates them for around 10 bucks per 100. Jungle Jim has gotten a bunch plated up in his neck of the woods also, chrome and gold plated.
they do look good. I may just back away from silver powder paint

I don't know about backing away from the powder, but I would like some in both silver and gold. I am not as happy with gold powder as I am silver, but I have a pound of it and I can clear coat over it and improve it's gloss some.

Seems to be the cost is a lot for the coating and enough so that it should make a price difference in your jigs. That would be pushing the material cost up a pretty big %. I mean the actual material cost including the jig head, it's still a big % of the cost to add .10 each. I mean no business in the world would pay something like 30%-50% more for an item and not raise their prices huh?

I have a little over 2000 chromes now and they are very nice, all sickles.I'm waiting for the gold plated jigs to get back. Maybe after I get my third batch back I'd sell some. Eventually want to get some black nickles done as well. With the cost of the plating they will definitely cost more than plain heads, but the shine these have trigger fish better than anything I've ever used before. Cabela's and Bass Pro sells regular nickle plate jigheads for $2.79 and gold for $3.19 per dozen!!!!! I'm sure you can or will get them cheaper on cc.
