Default Guess Where I Found Some Rubber Legs

Was wondering around the web and stumbled across a site where someone mentioned bungee cords for rubber legs first response was a look of confusion on my face. Well I had a couple of beat up ones laying around the house all torn up and really not to usable anymore so i did some surgery on one and this is what I found

I was pretty surprised when I got it opened up and at the same time a little smirk came across my face for I couldn't believe these where actually the closest thing I have found yet to the size rubber that I have been looking maybe a tad and I say a tad bigger but will be giving it a try here over the weekend since it is another rainy weekend in the forcast

Nice find! I think you can get some at the dollar stores as well. I haven't been to one in quite some time but if I remember correctly they carry some.

make sure you check them out before buying them, some are not the right shape and won't work very well. Also, it helps to get them wet to strip off the cording around them. I actually have hundreds of feet of it to use just haven't gotten into using it yet. I can't get it to take the shape I want and make a nice collar instead of a mess.

Very interesting post. I'll try that too. You can also get some nice "Flourescent" rubber legs at the place that sells beauty supplies. Look for the bands they use on braids.

I have been attempting to make the bluegill bugs that Doc showed on here a week or so ago. These had the "spider" legs. Anyhow, ran across a box full of silicone bass skirts with the band in the middle. Bought the variety pack from Netcraft, or maybe Barlows a couple years ago. Seems like they were pretty cheap, otherwise I would not have bought them. They work great for the spiders and the color combinations give you many choices. One skirt will easily make 12 -14 bugs. Might give that a try. You can also cut them for jig tails. Some have scale patterns, glitter, etc... Only downfall is they are each a different color, so making bulk in one color is out.
