Dang-it fellas!!! What you guys are doing - wow! Some very creative minds on this forum.
Some of you are so far ahead of me it's scary. I've got all my heads painted, and 5 tied - got to do more this evening....
I've not posted my shipping address - I will try to get that out this week. Please be patient w/ me. Got lots of fans in the fire right now, not the least of which is cleaning out my mail box so I can send you the PMs........
Thanks
UG
I definitely aint in no hurry! I only have 5 done myself! Hope to have another 5 tonight but it will be a couple days at least before I am done.
I gots 10 finished here. Probably done by the end of the week.
2nd revised version of answer for the Flatfish46 challenge question
FF117 Stealth
FF= first flight
117= flight date 1-17-09
Stealth= red hooks, red thread, red krystal flash "disappears" at depth so jig has a low "radar profil" i.e. mr slab crappie has a hard time picking up the buisness end of Einstien's jig. The "tail section of the aircraft" is a "low drag" material so it slips through the water easier.
My brain is bruised from trying to figure this out...some times I forget what my spoon is for when I eat my cereal now. So in effort to retain what cerebral function I have left I am going to focus on my jig tying now. The swap jigs are done so I am going back to work on refining my craw pattern. I will be the guy at the last table in the left hand corner of the local mental ward staring at the tying vise drooling oatmeal mumbling "crawfish funny hmmmmm hmmmp".:eek::p
Done got the heads all painted up and eyes a-glowin! Hmmmmm whatever shall I choose to for the body and tail.....
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that just has their jigs painted. I do have a prototype tyed, but I'm not convinced with it yet.
i haven't even poured my jigs yet i am lazy. actually it is to cold in the jig tying shop to sit out there. i need a heater to even think about going out there after work. maybe i will figure something out tonight so i can at least pour some
You live in La I hauled a 1/2 chord of wood today from the shop to the house in My tee-shirt ! I understand your alittle further North !!!!!??????!! then Me ,but you'll do.
Woohoo, 12 done, 12 to go! Getting used to tying the crochet on a sickle jig head has been challenging but fun. Gotta do some for myself without a tail and some with to see if the tail matters here or not.
