I'll tie a "Sparkle Jig" I'll be tying it on a 1/64 th oz. #8 hook Chartruse head white iris black eye. Maraboo/flashboo tail, Chartruse sparkle chinelle body, chartruse hackle.
I and my grandsons have taken a lot of gills on this jig,in a smaller chrome head version. I jacked up the size because it seems most on here like large jigs. ole Mike
Hmmmmm...I bet if we have a group fish you wouldn't be standing off to the side....what you guys think a big swap room group fish make A.W. stand off to the side and watch us rraking in the big ole slabs. Then say if you wanna fish you gotta do the group hug
:D:D:D.....he'd be huggin so fast it'd be a blur....lol. If I didn't have a sense of humor I couldn't hang out with you guys...best dang people I've had the pleasure of talking with in years.....mho....brim

Well I did it this time. I have set a goal for myself with this "flig" pattern that I cannot satisfy myself by tying on a jighead. The proportions are just not working out for me (I am my worst critic). I am not going to swap something I consider "trash", I have been resurecting a tying "technique" that I tried in the past for a different pattern. I have high hopes once I get some more material. All is not lost on the Madam X, but it doesn't look promising.

I have run into some problems with the flig concept as well...for this time until I get this figured out my bug is going to be "upside down". It'll still catch fish I think but I want a true flig so I'm gonna tie 2 for everybody this jig swap; one "right side up" and one "upside down". So FM I will be delayed in the mailing a couple days till I get this right...you're not the only guy that hates the "this just ain't right" feeling.....brim

I understand also, That is why I have not stated what I was going to tie. I was trying to tie a Royal Wulff on a 1/32 jig head. Hows that going? Not too good, Back to the drawing board. I will be tying a 1/32 whatchamacallit.
