Good job:D
FB... hope that swap description was of help! i learned a lot of good lessons from 'radtexan'!!
OH!! On the swaps that I've been a part of... we'd all tie up a few extra goodies for the swapmeister to keep!! Our way of saying 'thanks' for all his/her efforts!
AWMiller Welcome to the swap. For this swap I was thinking about just tying 1 pattern, then maybe we can follow that up with another swap.
Thanks so much! And yes, I wholeheartedly concur... when just starting out, keep it simple and get folks involved and having fun and then build upon it!!
:D:D:D I'm in :D:D:D
Yeah, I wanted to wait until the last moment to give everyone a chance. I was itching to get in since I saw that there was renewed interest. :D I am very pleased that this is going again. Kinda figured it might have run it's course earlier this year. I hope it runs longer and stronger this time because I have a "special" idea for a swap. In other words I want to throw ya'll a curve ball :D:D.
The little one is doing good. Had to go back to work today, so I hope mom can handle 24 hrs by herself. Thanks for askin.
it's good to have your experience in the swap.
All right guys it looks like we have 14 signed up for the swap so everyone will be tying 14 jigs. Thanks for all of the responses to the pm that I sent everyone. I hope that this swap is enjoyable for all of those involved. Don't forget about the chat tomorrow night where we will discuss the details of what we will be tying.
Thanks
E
Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait!!!! See everyone at the chat!!
Sorry I'm late , but if you want a # 15 , I would be happy to give it a
shot. I will also understand If I have missed my chance and will wait for
the next one.
good luck

Central time. Click on the Flashchat button in the bar accross the top under where your name is when you sign in.
DRfish you have a PM. let me know if you don't get it
Well the chat went good and we now have 15 swappers so we will all tie 15 jigs of our favorite pattern. That is leaving hook size, head color, materials used all up to the tyers. That way everyone will be able to tie what they have the most confidence tying and have the materials to tie. Everyone needs to send me their jigs by 11/7/2008. I will send them out at soon as possible. I will keep everyone informed of when I get them in and get them shipped out. I sent a PM with my address and shipping instructions to everyone. If Anyone has any questions let me know.
Happy tying
Emmett
Recievd PM and I am looking forward to the swap. Thank you Emmett for being the swapmeister.
I dropped the ball on the chat also, but I will get my jigs in the mail
asap. I have a bunch tied up, I will have to go thru them and
pick out the best ones. When working for myself , I am not a
perfectionist ( the fish don't mind, they will bite an ugly jig :) )
but I will mail in my best work ( such that it is )
Good luck

Sorry I had to miss as well:( Had something come up last min.Look forward to see everyones creations!!
I finally have my 15 tied . The wife is looking around here for a tin to send. Hope to have all in the mail in a couple days. Thanks again to ejones1961. ole Mike
Mine are done as well.... now to work on some goodies for the swapmeister!
Hmmmm wonder what patterns are working good in his neck of the woods?!!
I haven't got mine done yet, but at least I started thinkin' about startin'!!:D
I'm headed to El Paso in the morning on business. I'll have to wait til next week, but I'll have them done in plenty of time.
radtexan, I have very good reason to be done with mine. I am healing from a broke ankle while horseing my float tube through a rain slicked willow patch full of washouts. (groan) Time at the tying station is not a problem.
This is the first time I have been in a jig swap and knowing that I am a master, not of tying, but of putting off things till the last possible day, I thought it would be in the best interest of all to get this behind me soon as possible. lol I simply tied what is working well for me, I'm in hopes they work as well for you folks also. ole Mike
I have about 1/2 of mine finished, but ran out of jigheads :(, guess I will have to pour up some more tongiht and get back in business this weekend :D
wow everyone is in full swing i have my pattern picked but am waiting on jig heads alsoshouyldn't take me to long to get them done after they get here should get to start on them next week if not will have to pick some up just for the swap .

Nice looking jig AW. Received yours today Scoremaster, Nice looking jigs. I hope to get started by this weekend. It will take a few days to get everything caught up after vacation.
Thanks Emmett! I got it all into the mail today and sent you a PM as well. Can't wait to see all the goodies!!!
AW, I'm sending you a special jig, its kinda like an asprin head jig but its actually a valium head jig.LOL
Well, looks like mine will be finished by the weekend (hopefully). I was over 1/2way thru with the original pattern, and ran out of jigs, so I had to switch to different pattern, but it is just as good as the original one, sometimes even beter.
I finally got my jigs in the mail yesterday. I also put a little extra in for Emmitt as thanks for taking on the responsability of making this happen. ole Mike
