Amazing !!!! Very nice work...........
Thnx jiggy, pup, JJ, Redear, mikeb, Jubs (left you a PM on BGT), TxRebel, and sloedown for the compliments – glad you enjoyed the pic.
sticksteer – the spinner blades are a 00, been using nickel and black nickel. Jump rings (butt rings) I think are a size 0. Got the idea from JSC and Cadman.
CK3 – thnx for the compliment – really believe in proportions.
Ifish –“Crappie Jig Hall of Fame” 2 funny (thnx). Still working on blade style – like them all but the Colorado seems to pull a little better. Caught more BGs with the Colorado (different color jig). Need to get back to the “Phlatapus”.
Nice looking jigs. So the swivel is actually just tied in I had to re-read to make sure I wasn't losing it (believe me lately it wouldn't be hard).
Have you used them enough yet to determine how the thread is going to hold up with fish hitting them???
Fatman
FM - The swivel is tied on, the body built up with 3/0 flat wax, then clear coated.
Can't really judge how they "hold up" been losing them waaay too fast. Fishing some ugly - deep - structure with 2lb test.
They should be clearcoated with epoxy - too lazy - FP works fine.
Thnx to AgriHawg for the inspiration.
Awesome looking jig, I have been looking for a way to attach a spinner to the hook. That is a great idea.
Led,awesome jig.Have you ever tried Indiana blades on these? I use them on my r--d r-nn-rs and really like them. Way to nice a jig for me to use and lose. I better try to make my own.
LedHed, very clever idea. I would have never thought of that. Excellent food for thought, now you got my wheels spinning. BTW that is a really nice looking jig.
ej – you’re going to have a example shortly…
JJJ – haven’t tried the Indian blade (yet), don’t remember seeing them in a size 00.
Thnx cman – like to see what you come up with. Matching head and blade maybe????? – Make sure you post up some pics.
