Default Something to make your life easier!

Years ago I made a simple rack to hold jigs after I dipped em in vinyl paint
and hungthem to dry. I called it my dip n dry! It's a snap to make with scrap wood. Get some 1 x 2's. You'll need 5 pieces. Cut the two sides as high as you want the sides.
Then cut the two base legs long enough to balance the rack. Then cut a piece to overlap the sides. Then get threaded rod (to keep the jigs apart)
cut to size between the sides. Note, the rack can be as high or wide as you want it.
Drill a hole in each side for the threaded rod to pass through and secure with washer and nut on each side. You can put them and height from each other.
Mine are appx 5 inches apart. Then put the top piece on. I used nails to fasten all the wood. If you want more rods, put a cup hanger on each side,
front and back. You can have as many as the rack is high.

I also use it as a background for taking jig pics by putting a couple nails in the top and hanging light
colored board. Then I took a 1x2 with a 16 penny nail and a alligator clip to hang the jig on.

I had the pics in then deleted them thinking they would stay on here, ooops, I'll post them tomorrow.

wow great looking jigs everyone. Had to come home to go to work and see if I can get some more of those jigs I got from a member on here he goes by JigginJoe he hooked me up with some great jigs and the rainbow trout are tearing them up. WOO HOO got to love the feel of a JigginJoe kiptail jig on the end of the line and a big rainbow taking drag. Well off to work heading out in the morning I lost a dandy rainbow this morning. I will put it to you like this if I would have landed it the taxidermy bill would have been huge the biggest rainbow I have ever had hooked on and right up to the bank and then he said BYE BYE and was gone. Well theres always tommorrow Perch

Hey thanks Joe that sounds great Im looking forward to getting them. CR3 my wife was really happy when she heard that the taxidermy bill isnt increasing as my last bill for 3 fish was over $800. Really shes says that but never complains to much when I want one for the wall and I have 11 on the wall right now and need to get 2 more done right now. I dont smoke or drink so she doesnt mind a taxidermy bill now and then. Shes a Keeper for sure

I cant wait to see all these cool jigs that everyone is making for the swap. Like Joe said its christmas time around here only one problem is I dont have a box of jigs under the tree yet. LOL Well better get to bed got off work at midnight and its now almost 1:30 am and Im planning to head up to the lake at 7am so thats not much sleep so I better get going to bed. Thanks Perch
