    Default Hello to all Iowa Crappie anglers


    Just want to say hello to all fellow Iowan's.Live in Knoxville,fish Red Rock and Rathburn.Walleye,Crappie and whiskers is what I fish.Hope to see some of ya fishing some time.Try to keep up on what is happening at both lakes and share it with fellow anglers.To all be safe on the water!

    Welcome! Sounds like you got some of the best fishing and duck hunting in the state really close to where you live.

    Hey crappiejgr, I'm over here on the east coast of Iowa. No river action as it is higher than ?*&^. Looking forward to Red Rock and Rathbun in May. Probably be at Mark Twain too. I'll let you all know what I find when I go.

    Hopefully they get the lake back down to normal pool so the Crappie can get set up on the beds for the spawn.Corp has been holding the outflow back do to the Mississippi,which is good for you east coasters.Haven't heard many reports from Rathburn that have been enlightning,been pretty slow down there.Talked with corp guy today and they are scheduled to start pushing water again around the 28th if conditions allow??? Fishing has been real hit and miss on the tail waters,getting some Crappies but nothing like it should be,water level and weather have been the factors.Will keep ya up dated

    Hey crappiejgr, reroofing the house this week but will be a Rathbun next week. Let you all know how it goes.
