Iowa Club

I figured I would start a new thread for discussions on the club. Seems like where it left off was the suggestion of meeting in Albia? I think that makes it about 1.5 hrs from me. Depending on when we have the kick-off meeting, I will try to make it. If there is a place closer to Des M. area, would work better for me, but somebody is always going to have to drive, may as well be me . I didn't see any discussions on dates, or how many people may attend? I know all of our schedules get pretty busy this time of year, but on the other hand, it could be a great time to get together. It's kind of "in between" fishing seasons. I work 2 jobs and teach firearms classes (NRA and CCW) on the side, so some discussions on dates would be great.

I am in favor of it being in des moines, good central location. We have Albia as a back up depending on if do not find a suitable place to have it. I will be there no matter where, we need everyone to chime in on location and some possible dates. Looking foward to getting together none the less to get the ball rolling.

My wife lived in Des M. for a while, she knows the eating places better than I do. Just to throw out some suggestions: Famous Daves, Shanes (bbq), Outback Steakhouse(not always open). We after steak? BBQ? I don't really care, as long as we don't have to shout to be heard
