I've been wanting to try Robert's creek, never fished there. It's one of the few lakes that the DNR report says the crappie bite is decent. I had planned on heading to Rathbun, but it's just been too high. My cousin has worked for the corps there since the 70's, and is retiring this year. Wanted him to show me some hot spots. Earlier this year, he said he was getting a lot of O.T. in checking the dam. Figured I would wait till the water was lower, so they didn't have to check the dam so often.
Can't remember where I heard, but it seems like they are catching a few on Rathbun, but nothing exciting. If you go, let us know how you do. I think I'll wait a few weeks and let the water drop a bit more. It's still 14 ft higher than normal pool. DNR report says the bit is "slow".
