Average buyer now walks up to a dealer and doesn’t ask,,,what is the price of this item? They ask, “ how much are my monthly payments going to be”. And they finance now for 30 yrs.

Been a few years since I have attended the boat show. Bought my first bass boat (Procraft 18') there in 84 for $14k plus. I think I financed it for 10 years so I could afford to put gas in it every week. Times have sure changed. Probably won't make it this year either, but maybe next. I still enjoy talking to the resort owners and picking up brochures about possible future trips we make. Wish they could build more lakes to accommodate all these boats that are sold. (I guess since I'm retired and usually fish on weekdays, it is not so bad.)
