Stay at Home Order. Can we fish?

How can they force churches to close? Don’t get me wrong I think our churches need to for a time. I am a pastor myself and have cancelled services at our church. But I don’t understand how they can force religious institutions to cease assembly.

Congregations can turn into a Petri dish for corona virus is their thinking. A lot of our churches here are giving services via the net. I know with the increase of people here getting the virus as the count is increasing daily, I will not be around any other people as I am 70 and in the high risk grouping.

Again I agree with this I believe all of our churches nationwide should adhere to this recommendation all I’m saying is I don’t understand how the very ones who constantly scream for separation of church and state can then say they have the authority to close all churches under state law. Not a arguing point I just didn’t think they could do that.

This is an unusual complicated issue before us that has to have a unusual set of rules and guidelines issued as fast as possible to save as many lives as possible. The government rules and regulations quickly created is not going to please everybody no matter what rules and regulations are issued.

Yes, I don't think they are going to have personnel in the shack to collect launch fees. But you can call and pay by credit card for a yearly pass and they will mail it to you. Park, beach, etc. closed due to state closing rules. You can launch and fish.

There are no rules or Governor's order saying you can't fish, Outdoors Activities is listed as essential activities. So have at it you're not breaking any rules

The only thing I go out for these days is medicine and groceries. We have a store that opens at 6 am to 7 am for old people only. And on Mon and Thursdays they open the pharmacy at 6 am to 6 pm. So I hope to find some groceries and pick up a prescription at the same time.

I'd be out fishing if I could but I'm too sick to fish anymore. I think I'll go take a nap.
