Monroe looked really good today. Water temp at Cutright Ramp was 40. Saw one boat with 2 in it fishing the Hwy riprap on the main lake side. I’m heading to Patoka in the morning to adjust electronics, mega 360, and test out new lithium batteries.

Didn’t go, chickened out! Thermometer read 26 with a 8-10 mph wind and decided it was warmer in the house after going out at 6:30 am to hook the boat up. Will build a fire in the fire pit later today and burn a steak instead and just kickback and take it easy.

Yesterday, while checking Monroe and Lemon out, wind whipping across the water, had the thermals on and 3 layers of jackets with a outer gortex liner, wife got out of the car and right back in it,,,and it was more than brisk. I don’t care what the air temp is as when it’s ripping across 39 degree water,,it’s rough. And there is no time to rush spring,,it will get here and weather will get better.

Winds were ripping on the water. I made it out for 2 hours before I ran to the ramp.

I spent the day, greasing and checking wheel bearings, tire pressure, changing lower unit gear lube and engine oil and checking this and that and lubing all the parts of the engine. Ready to rock and roll once again.

Raccoon is about 11 feet low water was muddy and temps were 37 degrees. Fish were 18 feet not hitting very hard just pecking the bait. I am waiting for the lakes to warm another 10 degrees. I will be hitting ponds till then .
