Wow 16 and a half inch crappie is a hog! biggest ones I've ever taken out of there and I fished there my whole life is several 14". Good job. I've talked to guys trolling for marble eyes catching big crappie on crank baits by accident. The quality on crappie has improved greatly since shad were introduced to the lake.
sounds like you mite want to troll cranks around there. I get crappie trolling wee craws and stuff for suspended gills in summer.
