Went back to the creek couldn’t find the keepers, only dinks. They were as far into the brush as possible a foot down. I searched high and low and everywhere for the bigger ones but no luck. On the bright side the synthetic paddle in the background didn’t snap in two and it was a easy paddle back to the truck.

Good job. Glad you caught some
UGH! Sorry!
Any paddle will break. Werner came out with the very first carbon made ergonomically designed paddle (bends in the handle where it took the stress off your wrists) for whitewater kayaking back around 2002 and price was 400.00 with a lifetime warranty. I think I was the first to break it (according to their warranty dept) running the Ocoee River on a class 3 rapids doing a roll after getting capsized and took a very nasty swim over a quarter of a mile thru 3 rapids before making it to the bank of the river. When waranteeing it, I sent it in to have their engineers study why their carbon paddle broke as it broke at a bend where the carbon was thickest. That was the worst swim I ever encountered and pure ugly. :Rofl I carry a 3 piece Werner cheapie now as I still will run a couple of rivers around here when I get the urge. Carry a spare as you just never know.
