Team Chance participated in another Cataract Slab Master tourney. This time I had #2 Grandson (#2 by seniority) Gabriel. We started out dipping minnows where we caught everything 2 weeks ago. I caught a few but Gabe caught a 10 incher under a bobber. He started getting bored so I broke out my trusty tablet with games loaded. After we found out they had moved the porta johns, we had to head North towards the beach. After taking care of business, I decided to head North of the Lieber ramp. I've always had some luck trolling thru the area with my trusty Flicker Shads. I also decided to drag a Rockport rattler tipped with a minnow. In this area it goes from around 35' deep to 10'. I was also marking some schools. Everytime I saw a school, something ended up on my hook. Well, one of these times, my biggie for the day hit on the Flicker Shad. Got her in and decided we had the Big Crappie for the tourney. We didn't stay around much longer since the tourney ended at 11:30. We got to the weigh-in with a pretty meager 7 fish catch of less than 3 lb, but the big one of nearly 1 lb made everything better. Yes, Team Chance won Big Crappie again. I am expecting an e-mail soon asking me to please quit coming. I don't think these wonderful ladies and gentlemen would do that. This has been nothing but beginners luck

I did get a pic of #2 goober (guber, gewber, how ever it is spelled) with the big fish. He didn't want to touch it so I had to dig out my yellow do-hinky (what ever they are called). He was tickled to death that he did contribute a little towards out 7 fish catch. And he did increase his bank account a little today.

Next week I take #1 Grandson, (by seniority) Aden to the tourney. #3 lives too far and waiting to see if #4 is a fisherboy or fishergirl (December. I'll take either) I do want to to thank everyone for their contribution to the Team Chance Crappie Fry. I loved cleaning those 38 crappie. It goes to a good cause, ME. I think they have noticed that I've been doing pretty good on my SEE FOOD diet. I think they feel sorry for me
