Weather has taken its toll on water temp as 2 weeks ago was 48-50 and yesterday at 9am started out at 42.5 degrees and eventually I found 46 when I was tired of fighting the wind that had climbed to 18 mph with gusts as much as 25. Long lined jigs from 0.3 to 1 mph as boat control in 1-2’ whitecaps made it difficult to say the least as couldn’t find anywhere to get out of the changing wind directions but managed 8 Crappie all released and nothing over 9.5 inches in size and all pure white in color coming from cold water. All caught in 12-20’ of water deep down off colors of pink hair jigs or chartreuse tubes on 1/16 oz road runners injected with nibbles and dipped in Slab Sauce. Moving slow was most productive. Water color was pure mud everywhere as water has yet to clear up with the rain we been getting. No fish located shallow either. Fish are still in a winter pattern holding deep in the creek channels along with the bait balls. Lake was Lemon. They did install the docks at the launch yesterday.
