Anyone been on Raccoon over the weekend or last couple days
been waiting for water to cool down some more and was wondering what temps are and if Crappie are hitting good yet.. last time I was at lake temps were like 82-83 deg..

Crappie bite out there has been great for the last month or more. Not a lot of big fish, but the 9-10" blacks are thick.

May have been a month ago, but when I came off the lake there was a girl from the DNR doing a survey to see how people feel about putting a 10" limit on crappie at Raccoon. She said most people thought it was a great Idea. Hope they get it done!!!

10 in. limit would be a great idea.. thanks for the update guys, its been about a month since I've been at lake need to get back on It but deer season is here so the 2 always conflict with each other.. guess I could start fishing in the morning and hunting evenings or vice versa.. either way its too dang hot to sit in a tree with the mosquitos right now.

I’m going into withdrawals because I have not been in my boat for over 6 weeks. Raccoon is about 15 miles from here and last time I was there we caught our limit. I hope they put a 10 inch limit on them also. Is the lake way down already?
