Was at Monroe for a family vacation, stayed at the fourwinds in Fairfax. I was vertical jigging on the docks and got into a few dink crappie. Then all the sudden my reel is screaming as line was being taken and I knew I had a big cat on the end of my line. So, after 25 min, my crappie rod with 4lb test was able fight off and land the kitty. I'm guessing it was between 10-15 pounds. Maybe more. There was a time I thought my rod was going to break and thought about cutting the line. Glad I didn't.

Also, a guy who helped me get it out of the water says it is a blue catfish, but I think its a channel
A.blue will have 30 to 35 anal fin rays with anal fin margin straight, channel will have 24 to 29 rays in a rounded anal fin. I can't tell with it laying mostly on its belly.
