got out with my cuz Saturday. we decided to bass fish since the gills are coming off beds. most of the time it was 12-14"ers with a nice small mouth tossed in at 16". it was getting dark, so we were making our way back to the ramp when a school blew up by us. he cast and caught one and i cast and caught one, and we moved on. well they busted again back in the same place, so back we went to try again. i tossed my spinner up there and gave it two good rips and let it fall at the drop. whamo solid hit and felt heavy! i told him to get ready to grab it for me, which he did after a couple runs at boat side. 23 in.@ 6.6#


guy and his kids came out on the dock and said he been after that one for a year. he asked us to bring it closer for kids to see. after they got a good look i held it over the water and told the young boy to come out and cast his spinner bait off the dock every day and he would catch it too. i then dropped it in the water. lol the dad said he would have kept it. not sure why? it would taste nasty and wasnt trophy size?

i dont drink in the boat for the most part. but when my cuz was loading his cooler with a few brews, i told him to put one more in there, because i was going to catch a toad today. i could just feel it, ya know. 100 yards from the ramp and it came true.
