    Default Cataract

Went to Cataract a couple of weeks ago and couldn't find any minnows at the shop closest to I70 and went to Cunot and got some the courtesy dock was away from the bank and I had a friend who had a hip replacement so it was not usable. Went to the park and dock was parallel to the bank. He was able to get in the boat but it was not easy. Does anyone know if these have been fixed and is the bait shop by I70 still open and what are their hours? We caught a few crappie spider rigging but it was tough fishing. Water temp was still in the upper 70's. Hope the cooler nights will pick up the bite. Thanks for any feedback!

I fished Cataract this Wednesday. The state park dock was just fine. We caught about 100 crappie, but only kept 10 that were over 9". The size seems to be down a little bit this year, but there are certainly a bunch of crappie in the lake. The size cycle should be improving in the coming years. Water temp was still in the 70's.
