My kids have been wanting to go camping this summer, so I looked into Jellystone park. Saw that there was one right next to Monroe lake and convinced the wife that we should head that way in July. I’ll be combing over all your posts the next few hours related to that lake in the hopes of getting some information. Seems to be a fairly large lake. Once I get some dates locked in I'll update here if anyone wants to meet up and fish.
Taking a kid fishing makes the world a better place one memory at a time.
When you do scope out Monroe, check out the primitive camping on south side east of Cutright launch all along middle fork of salt creek of which all the land is part of the Chas. Dream Wilderness and numerous campsites along the idle zone on a first come first serve basis. Access only either by hiking in to the edge of the lake or your boat.
