Nothing......one small bass. Was off the bank in a couple different spots. Talked to a nice guy that had caught a few on minnows and jig. Water was still pretty stained and up bout six foot. Seen a few boats out ...wonder how they did??

Yep, I was up river hunting for schools of white bass, no luck there. Water temp was 48*-49* , stained with moderate current. The coming rain and colder temps won't help.
I tried for a short time at a spot on the lake and caught 3 small ones. Couldn't stand the wind anymore and left. There was a guy leaving when i got there who had 8 or 9 decent ones, said he fished for 3 hours to get em. On way home i stopped down at spillway to try one of the eddys on the west side. Caught a bunch of white bass and crappie and a 12 inch walleye. Mostly small crappie, a handful were decent sized.
Any size to those white bass ? Even when the fishing is on fire I avoid the spillway, to many people to many problems.
The weather isn't working in our favor, lows in 20's and 30's for most of next week with highs in 50 or lower. Need that water temp to come up to get things going.
Thanks for the report guys. Personally, I'm kind of happy that it turned cool again and slowed things down just a bit. The forecast looks good over the next couple weeks to put prime spawn time in the first few weeks of April. Also, I was concerned that the quick warm up would get the mushrooms going up my way to early. Love sin time fishing. And summer, fall, and winter.
Taking a kid fishing makes the world a better place one memory at a time.
Yes a few of the white bass were good size, along with some smaller ones. Probably caught 20 or more of them. Been a while since i got into a school like that, i don't target them they just happened to be there as i was hunting the crappie. If i fish the spillway it's usually on the bait shop side or downstream in the woods on the other side. Fewer problems that way it seems. Only had one issue yesterday, a vietnamese guy walked down and started casting right in the hole i was fishing. I think he got the hint when my jigs and bobber landed right at his feet. He left quickly.
Sounds like the guy they say has been in trouble more than once for keeping to many fish.
