Went out yesterday after work. Marked a bunch of crappie in 10 to 15 fow. Started out slow first 2 hours.with one bite
A couple of older guys stopped and chatted with me for a bit and said they didn't have any luck and they weren't biting. Last time I was out I would stop once I found a big school and fished and fished them with no results. So this time I did the run and gun technique until I found an active school and it paid off. Managed to catch 30 to 40 crappie with 12 inches being the biggest. I was casting smaller jigs tipped and not tipped with crappie nibbles. Caught a few in a hurry then they just shutdown. Changed my colors and side up and they were back on. Tried slip bobber and casting jigs. Casting jigs with slow retrival produced more for me. Hope this helps.
