    Default Monroe Question

Had a appointment in Bloomington. Afterward I went to Paynetown to get my launch permit then drove around the lake just to check out ramps, parking and see the coves, etc. I never have fished Monroe so my knowledge is limited. I notice there are some coves west of the causeway with buck brush and lay downs. My questions, is the east side of cause way better than west as far as cover? What is the best ramp with out driving a long distance on those county roads coming from the Bedford area. Is Monroe better than Patoka as far as size? I know these are open ended questions so I guess I am looking for opinions.

use Cutrite and go to the right from the ramp there are quite a few good places anywhere you go up that way and all of it is 10MPH speed limit

If I was coming from Bedford I would go the other way to Patoka LOL

If you did decide to go to Monroe you could get off at Harrodsburg and put in at the Dam. I would then head across to Salt Creek. It is as good as any one the main lake. IMHO
That would be an easy trip to. The bait shop at the dam has minnows too.......
