Sorry for the delay. Chain-o-lakes is in Albion, IN (straight up State Road 9). It is a 100% electric trolling motor only lake. You can paddle or row yourself around but you cannot use gas motors of any type. None of the lakes are are large by any means. It is a quite place to have fun with the family. The entrance fee and motorized boat permit is required if applicable to your situation.
I think it may be September before missy Sally or roush will be fishable
beginning to look like Patoka will be the same way almost 11' over summer pool
They've been dumping as much as they can without causing downstream flooding, other than minor, for the last month or more. Doesn't make a dent when it rains 3 or 4 times a week. I look at the levels, and the outflow numbers every day for all three lakes, and it just doesn't matter when we keep getting 3 or 4" of rain a week. Huntington is up to like 19 inches of rain since mid June.
Louisville District Daily Lake Report
That is the daily lake report, with outflow. Right now Mississenwa north of marion is more of a lake than a river. It is up to the bottom of the bridge north of marion, and backed up. Almost no current, in an area that usually has a pretty strong amount of current and is 25ft below the bridge. I personally think it will be september at the earliest before they get back to normal summer pool.
From bank, I'd go fish the lake right now with no hesitation, especially up around the dam.
