northern crappie(and other fish) report

[river scum]

been hitting crappie, gills, bass, walleye, perch, and rockbass in the shallows on jigs. mainly twister tails and bobby garland baby shad. both on 1/16 heads. a few with ice flies under floats on slow days. fish seem to be in 6-2fow around weeds. all sizes of each species being caught. gills starting to make beds, and some of the crappie still have eggs. surface water temps been from 62 to 72 depending on weather and time of day.
