    Default Report on Lake Lemmon

My first time to fish this as I normally don't like to pay to launch. Cost is 15 bucks to launch. Water temp was 76 to 78 degrees. Long lined jigs from 8 to 10:30am catching about 30 dinks and 3 keepers from 10 to 12.5 inches. Then switched to bandit crankbaits for a couple of hours catching about 15 more dinks and 3 small bass. Switched back to jigs (best colors were anything chartreuse or mixed with chartreuse) and banged 9 keepers from 10 to 12 inches and a quite a few more dinks. Bigger fish came from 10-14 ft of water. Boat speed was best at 1.2 to 1.4 mph, but I did nail a couple of 12 inchers at 2.0 mph with the jigs. All the larger fish were females loaded with eggs, smaller fish were all males. About 1:30 pm was buzzed by 2 jet skis, kids driving them,,so I loaded up and came home. This is a lake that in the summer,,will be loaded with jet skis, pleasure boats, sale boats and hard to fish. Will hit it next spring for sure and maybe this fall as well when Labor day is over with. About 3 weeks ago, there was a 16 ft jon boat flipped by a pontoon boater, and one fisherman out of the 3 in the jon boat, died from some kind of medical attack being in the water so fish this lake with care if your going to fish it this summer. It is worth learning the lake as there is some nice crappies in it. Small parking lot at the launch tho,,will hold maybe 20 vehicles with trailers, but there is a overflow parking lot not far from the single launch ramp.
